Our Beliefs

What We Believe

Christian Life Church Church is a fundamental, independent, and self-governing church. We are Charismatic/Pentecostal in doctrine and policy. It is our privilege to serve the surrounding communities, and it is our desire to minister to people through meeting their needs in any way possible. Our church ministries are designed with you in mind!

We hope that as you visit with us, you will sense the excitement and joy that has become a part of the daily experience of the members of our church family because of our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that you will be strengthened and encouraged by the ministry of God’s Word. May the Holy Spirit challenge you to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures

The Bible in its entirety is the inspired word of God and the infallible and inerrant rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21).

The Godhead

Our God is one, Maker of all things, who eternally exists in Trinity as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1John 5:4-7; John 1:1-14).

The Lord Jesus Christ

He is the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven and is now seated at God’s right hand (Matthew 1:23, 28:6; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3).

Salvation

For lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Romans 3:21-30; Galatians 4:4-7).

Sanctification

The Bible teaches Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive, work of Grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consumation of salvation at Christ’s return (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Cor. 3:18).

Resurrection

Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:24, 28, 29).

Water Baptism and Communion

These are the two ordinances the Lord has set in the church. Water baptism by immersion and partaking of the elements to show the Lord’s death until He comes (Acts 1:5, 2:4, 38; Colossians 2:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-31).

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The full consummation of the baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2, 6; Acts 1:8, Matthew 3:11).

Divine Healing

Healing is for the physical ills of the human body, mind, and emotions, and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (James 5:14-15; Mark 16:18; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).

The Great Commission

The active work of evangelism and missions should be done in accordance with the Great Commandment (Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 1:8; Luke 10:27).

The Second Coming

There will be a literal second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to gather His prepared church to be with Him forever (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 1:7, 19:11, 22:7).

The Sanctity of Marriage

We believe the Bible teaches that a marriage exists only between a man and a woman (Gen. 1:24, Matthew 19:4,5, Ephesians 5:31).

(John 1:9) - "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world."
